Marco Negri (1997 to 2001)
Another Italian who arrived in the summer of 1997, Marco made a blistering start to his career at Ibrox.
Scoring an incredible 33 goals by the turn of the year, he looked set to break every record imaginable before injury struck in a freak accident sustained whilst playing squash with team-mate Sergio Porrini.
Frustratingly, he would never manage to recapture that early form which included a quite sensational 5 goal haul versus Dundee United at Ibrox.
A top-class finisher who had mastered his trade in his homeland, Marco was signed from Perugia for a fee of £3,500,000.
