Match Trivia
At Kilwinning, the home team lost the toss, and the Rangers began the game with a strong wind in their favour and a brilliant sun at their backs. During the first half they kept the home team confined to their own territory, scoring three points against nil for Monkcastle. On changing ends they had to assume the defensive against steady play of the Monks. They had a good run however which resulted in their scoring their fourth goal. The home team, after some keen play scored a goal from the head of Lowe. The play was mostly in the strangers territory after this and about 10 minutes from the close, Sloan sent in a ‘flier’ which McAllister failed to stop, and scored the second laurel for the Monks
