Match Trivia

In continuation of their five days tour the Rangers appeared at Millwall, where they encountered the Athletic in windy weather, before 5000 spectators. Millwall had the wind in the initial half. Much pretty passing was evinced by either side, and play at first was very even. The Rangers had several shots at goal, but Carter saved well. After the change of ends the visitors attacked strongly. After some even play Hyslop put the ball in the Millwall net, but was offside. A free kick given against the Rangers from ‘hands’ resulted in the ball being sent into the net without touching anyone. Davies scored for Millwall, who thus won by one goal to nothing.
