Match Trivia
The First League game was played at Kilmarnock before an attendance that realised £120 at the gate and over £30 at the stands. There were changes on both sides. Play throughout the whole of the first half was interesting and exciting, Rangers were for the most part the aggressors, but Killie had numerous dangerous runs with dangerous looking endings. Rangers scored twice through Hamilton and Dalrymple, and Fairfoul got one for Kilmarnock. In the second half Rangers kept up a long pressure on Killie’s goal, but a stubborn defence and weakness on the part of there own forwards kept the goals from coming. Only once were they successful, McColl scoring from close in. Final result – Rangers 3: Kilmarnock 1
