Match Trivia

At Rugby Park, Kilmarnock estimated attendance 900 drawings (gate and stands) £218. It was a surprising game all through. Rangers opened with a goal in two minutes, but subsequently Kilmarnock played a grandly although unfortunately Rennie saved a penalty taken by Templeton, and immediately after Murray scored for Rangers who led by 2 to 0 at halftime. In the second half Kilmarnock were quite as good as their opponents until the last 15 minutes when McPherson, Bennett and Murray all scored for Rangers, Bennett’s goal being the result of a long individual run
