Match Trivia
On Wednesday night the Rangers paid their first visit to Kilbirnie, when they opened Miltonfield for the season. There was a large crowd drawn from Kilbirnie, glengarnock, Beith, Lochwinnoch, and Dalry districts gathered round the ropes, and gave the visitors a hearty welcome. Owing to the late arrival of the Rangers, it was agreed to play two thirty-fives only. The Light Blues won the toss and elected to play down hill, A Low kicking off for Kilbirnie. Fine passing and dodging play followed, and the pace was hot for a considerable time, both goalkeepers saving grandly. After a nice bit of work on the Rangers right the ball was passed over to Barker, who shot it through, 25 minutes after the start. The game ended in favour of the Rangers by 5 goals to 2. The Kilbirnie teams supporters are well pleased at the good stand made against their more famous opponents
