Match Trivia
The Rangers kicked off prompt, the ball travelled up on the Hibernian right wing, Murray and Kennedy exhibiting some fine passing. A shot from the former struck the post, rebounding into play. Pryce caught it and scored the first goal for Easter Road. Play became fast, each goal being visited in turn. The home team were again successful, Kennedy scoring by a long shot from midfield. After this laxity on the Hibernian past allowed the light blues to score their first goal, which came through Miller. Some fine combination among the visitors forwards enabled the same player shortly after to place his side on an equality. Halftime, two goals each. The second half was well contested, but the Hibernian had the pull slightly. Turnbull scored the third goal for the Rangers, and Pryce and Dougal were individually responsible for two goals for Hibernian. A splendid game ended – Hibernian 4 goals: Rangers 3 goals.
