Match Trivia
Fresh from their victory over the erstwhile ‘premier club’ the Rangers travelled to Easter Road to play the Edinburgh autumn holiday match with the Hibernian. The early start rather handicapped the Hibernian and the attendance was none too great, only about 7000 spectators being present. The game was pitting even contested until well on the second half when the Rangers taking the game in hand won rather easily. Neither side gave more than a glimpse of scientific football. McColl and Hamilton as on Saturday seemed constantly getting in each other’s way, with the result that much from work went for nothing. Chancing places McColl had the pleasure of scoring the Rangers winning goal, Hamilton having drawn level early in the game; Stewart scored the only goal registered against Allan and Callaghan although a strong tier could not fine a weak spot in the Rangers defence. The drawings amounted to – Gates £150, stands £15. Result – Rangers 2 goals: Hibernian 1 goal
