Match Trivia

The Rangers paid their second visit to Edinburgh this season in the Scottish League Championship by meeting the Heart of Midlothian at Tynecastle. The weather was excellent, and there were fully 15,000 spectators present. The play in the first half was evenly contested and of an exciting nature, both goals being visited in turn. The Rangers were the first to score through Hamilton, after some clever play by the forwards. Two minutes later Walker equalised from a beautiful pass from Robertson. Michael dashed through the Rangers defence, and scored a second goal. Shortly after halftime was called, with the home team leading by 2 goals to 1. Shortly after restarting Smith put his team on level terms and a good game ended in a draw – 2 goals each.
