Continuing their northern tour the Rangers last night played a team of selected Elgin and Forres footballers at Elgin before a large crowd. Rain fell heavily during the entire game. The visitors started briskly, Reid completely beating the home goalkeeper in five minutes. The strong half-back line of the Rangers got much the better of the homesters and other two goals were quickly scored. The home team rallied, however, and thanks to a nice run by Sutherland, MacDonald beat Lock from close under the bar. The first half ended with the Rangers leading by 5 goals to 1. In the second half the visitors took things easily, and after 30 minutes’ play they scored their sixth and last goal. As in the first half, the home forwards did not take the chances offered them after breaking the defence on several occasions. The rangers won comfortably by 6 goals to 1
