At Dens Park, Dundee, Estimated attendance 15,000, drawings (gate and stands) £401. Playing a very effective forward game, Dundee practically monopolised the first half. Following a run on the left wing and a slip by Law, Hunter scored. The same player counted again after going right through the defence and before halftime, McFarlane added a third goal. Shortly after the resumption Hunter scored again and Dundee contented themselves with their long lead. Rangers were quite unable to make headway against the powerful defence while their own back division was sore put to it to nullify the effort of the clever Dundee forward line
