Match Trivia
Played at Dunblane in presence of a fair turnout of spectators. The ground was very soft and slippery and rendered anything like accurate play impossible. The Rangers lost the toss and kicked off with the wind at their back. Raid after raid was made upon the Dunblane stronghold but only on two occasions were these successful and one of the goals obtained was disallowed on the plea of offside. The teams crossed over with the result – Rangers one Dunblane nil. In the second half the ‘lights blues’ played in considerably improved form. Goal after goal was scored by them in rapid succession until they had raised the total score to six while the Dunblane only managed to score one. Inglis, Hamilton, Pringle, McIntyre and Duncan were in good form for the winners
