The former Senegalese international spent an eventful few months on loan at Ibrox during Walter Smith’s final season in charge.
A controversial player throughout his career, Diouf made his debut on 2nd February 2011 when he came on as an early substitute in a 1-0 midweek win over Hearts at Ibrox.
His first start came that weekend, an Old Firm Scottish Cup tie which ended 2-2. Diouf was subjected to the juvenile antics of Celtic’s Brown throughout the afternoon and it was the beginning of a sequence of clashes between the two players as the usual bad blood in this fixture seemed to reach new heights.
