Match Trivia

Considering that the match was in aid of the Clyde exchequer the attendance at Shawfield last night was disappointing. Both teams were indifferently represented, but notwithstanding a fairly interesting game was witnessed. Each side scored in the first half, which lasted 35 minutes, and in the second period limited to 30 minutes, the Clyde got the winning goal, the ball the ball being diverted past Dickie by W Walker, the ex-ranger. The Clyde played very determinedly throughout, and their supporters were very pleased at their success, which was well deserved although with the least bit of luck the ‘Light Blues’ might easily have effected a draw. The Clyde’s best players were Gilchrist, McAloon and Wallach; and the Rangers’ Dickie, Fraser, Chalmers and Hamilton
