Match Trivia
Before a fair turnout Clyde started the game, but were immediately driven back, and Henderson was called upon to save. Open play followed for a time and Miller missed an easy chance. A corner was given and Rangers looked dangerous, but Henderson saved. The Clyde forwards came away in grand style, but they had lines of front of goal. For a time the Clyde were kept busy defending, but Henderson was in grand form and saved all kinds of shots. The Clyde pressed Haddow saved from Stevenson. The latter again shot this time with success, Haddow being unable to save. Halftime was called shortly with the score – Clyde 1 goal: Rangers nil. Rangers resumed the play and within a minute scored A Smith being responsible for the finishing touch. Encouraged by their supporters, the Clyde made it hot for the Rangers, but Haddow was not to be caught out. The play became very fast with each goal in turn assailed but to no purpose. At last the Rangers scored by Mr Allison gave offside. A hard and interesting game finished a draw – one goal each
