Unable to dislodge Allan McGregor from the first team, Roy’s sole first team outing came during a 4-0 win over East Fife in the League Cup at Ibrox.
Capped 45 times for Northern Ireland, Roy played into his 40’s and enjoyed spells overseas in Denmark and Greece.
