Match Trivia
Played at Kelvin Bridge, and resulted in favour of Rangers by four goals to none. When the teams took up their position the Caledonian, who were well represented, looked very formidable compared with the youthful appearance of the Rangers. Almost from the beginning of the game however it was evident that the Caledonian could not cope with the skilful play of their opponents who played most unselfishly from beginning to end, and but for the Caledonian stalwart goalkeeper (McGeorge) must have succumbed to a greater extent as he stuck to the ball like a leech, which caused many an exciting scrimmage right in front of the goal, but as the Rangers greatest want is strength their efforts generally were futile. For the Caledonian a few of their forwards played well individually, and made some good runs, but with more of the passing game in their play they will make a first rate team. While for the Rangers the forwards one and all surprise themselves and Hill at back (who is an extremely youthful aspirant and his first day in the team) showed great judgement in kicking and tackling his heavy opponents
