Afer defeating Blackbur Rovers at Blackburn on Good Friday the Glasgow Rangers met Bolton Wanderers on Saturday at Bolton. The Attendance was only a small one, owing to the weather being very bad in the early part of the day. The Rangers played seven internationals, while the Bolton team was quite reorganised in consequences of injuries to their regular players. The Wanderers however scored in the first five minutes, Hanson tipping into the net from Brown’s centre. Hanson again scored from a centre by Brown after the change of ends, and the Glasgow tam were beaten by 3 goals to 0. At Bolton before 2000 spectators. After an interesting combination the Wanderers scored from a splendid centre by Sparrow Brown, which though intercepted by McKie, was pounced on by Hanson, who clean best Dickie. After fruitless bully in the home goal, the Wanderers dashed off, and McKie seemed like rushing headlong into the goal, but Dickie cleverly whipped the ball from his feet at the last moment. Halftime – Wanderers 1 goal: Rangers nil. The Wanderers were first away on resuming, and again R Brown centre Hanson scored a second goal. The Scotchmen tried hard after this second reverse, and Hamilton struck the upright as the referee whistled for offside. In the last five minutes the Rangers tried hard, but Sutcliffe saved his goal in marvellous fashion.
