On Monday evening Rangers visited Coatbridge and faced the Rovers on the Meadow in a friendly encounter. There was a fair attendance. The Rovers tried a couple of juniors. During first half play was fairly even and the interval was reached without any scoring. Shortly after the re-start Menzies had to leave the field on account of an accident, and the Rovers in their crippled condition made little headway. On the other hand the Rangers played with considerable vim and before time was piped rattled on four goals, the goal-saving of McBean being somewhat fluky. The gamed ended four goals to nothing in favour of Rangers
