Played last night at Ibrox Park, Govan before 1000 spectators. The Cowlairs kicked off. In the opening stages the Rangers kept the ball well in the Cowlairs territory, Duff however was all there and kept his charge intact, till McPherson with a long shot beat him. Five minutes later McPherson scored a second goal for the Rangers. The Cowlairs were seldom dangerous. Half-time result :- Rangers 2 goals; Cowlairs 0. Without leaving the field the teams crossed over and resumed the game. The Cowlairs at once put on the pressure, but their shooting was wide of the mark. From a free kick ten yards out they had a chance, but the ball went over the bar. Then the Rangers had an innings, and for a time Duff had his work cut out for him. Darkness was settling in however, which spoiled the shooting of the Rangers forwards. No further scoring took place. Result :- Rangers 2 goals; Cowlairs 0
