Played last night at Govandale Park, Govan before 1500 spectators. The Rangers lost the toss and kicked off. For a long time play was even then the Rangers got away, and McNeish with a neat shot scored their first goal. The Linthouse tried their utmost to get on the equaliser, and after some clever forward play Thomson scored a beauty. Halftime result – Linthouse 1 goal: Rangers 1 goal. The second half was only a couple of minutes gone when Thomson scored a second goal for the Linthouse. From this till the close the game was fast and exciting. Rangers tried hard to improve their position, but were met by a stubborn defence. Just before the whistle sounded, Gibson scored with a low raking shot. Result – A draw – 2 goals each.
