Match Trivia
For their last League fixture at home Raith Rovers entertained the Rangers, who attracted over 6000 spectators. The Fife men had the greater share of the play in the first half, and were unlucky to be a goal behind at the interval. The Rangers goal was scored by Goodwin from about 20 yards. The second half was very keenly contested, the Rovers putting in some determined work; but curiously enough the nearest approach to a score was at the Raith goal where Phillip badly missed, and Wilson chipped in and cleared with Reid in close attendance. At the finish of a strenuous game the Rovers found themselves without a point where they should at least have manged a draw.
