Match Trivia
Had the fate of the championship depended on the game Falkirk could not have played with greater zest or earnests then they displayed, and the goal scored by Morrison, if not entirely free from luck, was thoroughly deserved on the general play of the first half. On a dry, fast pitch, with a strong following breeze, Rangers never seemed to control the ball. Indeed they were much too fond of close passing to make of a defence which was as perfect as has been seen this season. It was not a case of each defender for himself, for when one was beaten you invariably found a club mate at his heels ready to remedy the slip, and Rangers forwards never seemed to tumble to this, and were out of it first half. A different style was adopted by them in the second period, long swinging passes being the order, but perfect as were the centres put in by Smith and Bennett, Reid made but a poor show. Rangers have made a capture of Hendry, and need not worry about their middle now. The attendance was about 10,000
