Match Trivia

At Ibrox Park, Govan, estimated attendance 35,000 drawings (gate and stands) £794. The winning of the toss allowed Dundee to have the benefit in the first half of what little wind there was. Murray kicked off, but Dundee were first to make progress. The Rangers although disappointing in their methods, which lacked cohesion were the first to score through Bennett, with which lead they crossed over. In the second half Dundee although playing well, failed to break down the strong defence of the Rangers. The home team forwards also infused more into their play, and the only goal of this half fell to Campbell, who scored with a fast shot, which beat Crumley all the way.
