Dick scored from a penalty kick against Campbell, and Rangers followed with a third goal from Spiers, the Light Blues leading at halftime by 3 goals to 1. The second half did not produce such a fine game, the tendency of the Rangers forwards to elaborate spoiling an otherwise perfect exhibition of offensive play. Logan reduced the leeway with a fine shot, and McLean twice had opportunities to equalise, but in the main play was round Adams. Result – Rangers 3: Queen’s Park 2. It was a pretty game for the end of the season, and the Rangers were just slightly the better lot, having more method about them. Thompson was the best man on the field, the other outstanding figures being May, Spiers, Kyle, Dick, McLean and Fitchie. Gate and stands £600. About £1000 had been taken in the competition altogether
