Rangers lost the toss and had to play against a strong wind, but they had the better of the exchanges in the first half, and scored twice McColl from a penalty, and Smith, after a brilliant bit of football by the whole front line. Halftime result Rangers 2 goals: Queens Park 0. In the second half play was more evenly distributed, but was not of a high standard, Rangers adding a third goal through McColl. In the closing stages the amateurs improved greatly, and scored twice, Gray and Jones beating Sinclair. Result Rangers 3 goals: Queens Park 2 goals
