Match Trivia

Played on Ibrox Park yesterday before about 4000 spectators. Rangers lost the toss and had to play against a strong wind, but they had the better of the exchanges in the first half, and scored twice – McColl from a penalty, and Smith, after a brilliant bit of football by the whole front line. Halftime result – Rangers 2 goals: Queen’s Park 0. In the second half play was more evenly distributed, but was not of a high standard, Rangers adding a third goal through McColl. In the closing stages the amateurs improved greatly, and scored twice, Gray and Jones beating Sinclair. Result – Rangers 3 goals: Queen’s Park 2 goals
