At Tynecastle, Edinburgh under Inter-City League auspice, the weather was dull and a high wind blew across the field. There was an attendance of about 9000 spectators. The Hearts against the wind opened strongly and Bell had the first try, which went over. Rangers next pressed, and a shot from Mackie met with the same fate. The Hearts fairly kept the Cup finalists travelling and had easily the best of matters. Smith and Fraser having an anxious time of it in holding the lively ‘Maroons’ in check.
