Played at Ibrox Park before 5000 spectators, neither teams was at full strength, Wilson being off for Third and N Smith, Gibson and A Smith, Campbell and Wilkie for Rangers. The Third played with a strong wind at their backs in the first half and Maxwell scored twice. The score at the interval was Third Lanark 2 goals: Rangers 0.
