Match Trivia

These two clubs brought off their long delayed Scottish tie at Ibrox Park, before 10,000 spectators. In the opening stages of the game Kilmarnock completely took the Rangers by surprise by the dash and determination, which they infused into their play. They had very hard lines in not scoring, and had it not been for Dickie in goal, who saved two of the most difficult shots any custodians might wish for the Rangers would certainly have been at least one goal to the bad at halftime. As it was the interval arrived with the teams pointless. The Rangers started the second half in very different style to their first half exhibition, and within five minutes of the resumption Speedie and Smith had both beaten Craig. The Rangers continued to have all the best of matters, and were eventually left winners by 2 goals to 0. Robertson missed a penalty
