Match Trivia

The return League fixture between these clubs took place at Hampden Park before 5000 spectators. The Rangers having lost the toss kicked off against a slight breeze, but had the best of the game from the start. A run by Smith and McPherson enabled the latter to beat Gillespie and pass to his mate. Smith and Whyte scored. Soon afterwards Lambie with a long kick equalised the game, but before the end of the fist half Smith passed to McIntyre, who scored the second goal for the Rangers. There were no points made in the latter part of the game, which resulted in a win for the Rangers by 2 to 1
