Match Trivia

Played at Ibrox before a good attendance. Each club had representatives at the International League match in Liverpool, Celtic five and the Rangers three. All the same, capable substitutes were found, but the absence of so many of the regular players detracted somewhat from the interest. From a pass by McPherson H McCreadie scored the first goal of the match for the Rangers. Five minutes later McMahon headed the ball into the net and equalised for the Celtic. Crossan scored a second, and at halftime the Celtic lead by 2 to 1. Shortly after the restart McPherson scored the equaliser for the Rangers. There was no further scoring, and a fairly good game resulted in a draw – 2 goals each.
