Match Trivia
At Needlefield, Inverness. The weather was very favourable, and there was a large attendance of the public, over 2000 persons being present. In the first half the Inverness players made a good appearance, but in the remaining part of the game the Rangers showed excellent play, and succeeded in defeating their opponents by 5 goals to 1. The back division of the Inverness team exhibited capital defensive play, especially in the second part of the game, when they were closely pressed by the Rangers. The goalkeeper saved two or three hot shots in fine style. The strangers put on the pace in the second period, and their capital passing and speedy play were much admired. This is the second visit of the Rangers to Inverness, and it is hoped in local football circles that arrangements will be made to make it an annual one. In the evening the members of the Rangers team were entertained to supper in the Glenalbyn Hotel.
