Match Trivia

Played at Inchview, Partick in wind and rain, and in presence of a small but enthusiastic attendance of spectators, and ended in favour of the Rangers by two goals to none. The visitors loss the toss, and kicked off against the wind which was both strong and gusty. During the round some good forwards play was shown on both sides, but the Rangers kept better together than their opponents which they got in front of the sticks, and a fast shot from Gow was successful in making the first point of the match, so that the teams changed ends the visitors leading by one to none. The Rangers played with the wind in their favour in the second half of the game and added another goal, also scored by Gow. The Partick men never got near enough to place the ball between the posts, so that the game eventually finished up in favour of Ibrox team by two goals to none.
