Match Trivia

On the ground of the St Mirren at Westmarch, in presence of a good attendance of spectators. Throughout the first half of the game the St Mirren had the best of the play, and ends were changed with the score standing three to one in favour of the Paisley men. The closing period of the match was more evenly and openly contested, but the Rangers could not manage to hold in check the brilliant and beautiful passing of the St Mirren and the call of time found the St Mirren victorious by six goals to three. Wilson, Harper and Cheyne were the best of the St Mirren, and Heggie was the best of the Rangers.
