Match Trivia

Played at Kinning Park in presence of about 2000 spectators. The Rangers team had undergone a considerable alteration, Pringle, Inglis, McGregor and McHardy being absent in the front division but their places were ably filled by other members of the club. The ground was very heavy but the game on the whole was closely contested. The first half resulted in favour of the Rangers by two goals to one but the Kinning Park men although pressing their opponents during the latter position of the game were unable to increase their score. The forwards on both sides worked well Gillian for the Northern doing exceptionally good work while Smith and Thomson played well for the Rangers. The backs on both sides also kicked well
