Played at Dumbarton on the ground of the Lennox Club. The first half was well contested but no goals were kicked. The first quarter of an hour in the second half was spent in the vicinity of the home goal and Paton showed well in defence. A neat shot from Brown enabled Meikleham with a header to score the only goal of the game. During the remainder of the game the Rangers goal was hotly besieged but Vallance and Devlin made a splendid defence and Warner in goal proved equal to every emergency.
