A large number of spectators turned out on Saturday to witness this match on the ground of the former at Cathkin Park, Cathcart Road. In the first half some exciting play took place almost in front of the Rangers goal which was ultimately relieved by Vallance. The Rangers forwards now showed some of their fine passing play, and getting well down Wallace was compelled to use his hands. The play was much of this nature during the first half. When half time was called no goals had been got by either side. In the second Half Somers had a fine shot at goal which the goalkeeper attempted to knock out, but the ball glanced off his hand and went clean through amidst the greatest excitement. Somers shortly after this scored the second goal for his side. The keeper this time in attempting to save it being charged through by Peden. Time was called shortly after this, the game thus resulting in favour of the 3rd by two goals to nothing
