This tie came off at Powerhall Edinburgh in presence of a large number of spectators and ended in favour of the Rangers by three goals to none. On the game being started the Rangers quickly began to press the Saints but their shooting was very wild and nothing was scored for some time. At length McHardy sent in a soft shot which Baillie failed to stop and the first goal was registered. Some time after this some good passing by the forwards enabled Gossland to secure the second point for the Rangers an appeal for offside being disallowed. The home team then played up hard and kept the back division of the Rangers busy. On change of ends the St Bernard’s early put on the pressure but were unable to score and time was nearly up when Pringle added the third point for the Rangers. The game was very fast all through
